Bronze Group

These guidelines will help guide us in making decisions regarding where one swimmer should be, as well as providing swimmers and parents some understanding of our expectations. Swimmers will be placed in a higher or lower group depending on the level of commitment in and out of the pool.

At this level, these are some of the things that are expected from the swimmers...
-You should be able to swim freestyle, butterfly, backstroke, and breaststroke legally.
-You
should have the desire to improve your swimming, attempting flip turns at every wall for freestyle and backstroke and performing legal turns for butterfly, breaststroke and individual medley transitions.
-You
should attend all four to five workouts per week.
-You
should compete at all of our team meets and travel meets, if qualified.
-You
should be learning to be a leader in the pool (lead your lane) and during stretching and exercises.
-You
should be encouraging yourself and others to work hard, listen carefully to your coaches, and demonstrate a positive attitude about swimming.
-You
should be willing to learn about yourself and your potential capabilities by accepting and working towards achieving the challenges set before you.
-You
should learn to adjust productively to the conditions that surround you (when your goggles leak, colder water, situations involving lane etiquette, meet warm-ups and use of the pace clock).
-You
should be aiming to achieve a “B” times on the USA Swimming National Age Group Motivational Time Standards
-You
should bring equipment daily
